What’s all this?
There's no need to spend a fortune on expensive ingredients. Delicious food doesn't have to be complicated. Healthy food doesn't have to be boring.
Don't be fooled by the supermarkets and the TV chefs. Everyday food should be scrumptious. Treats now and then are lovely, but every meal can be a bit of household poetry.
These recipes are loose and flexible; take the basic ideas and play around with them – try different herbs and spices, substitute or add this and that, bit more of this, bit less of that. I'll suggest variations, and you can try your own. Have fun with them – you can always eat your mistakes...
